El Campo Casitas & Self Storage

Sorry that I'm on here venting so I cannot speak about the apartments the only thing that I'm going to speak up on is the storage units now I have been renting one of them for nearly a year have paid my fee always on time price is not bad at least it doesn't change on you it stayed the same but everything changed a few days ago last week Friday when I needed something out of my storage unit and I was not able to get in a few tenants have told me that the gate is not working properly and it hasn't for a while I was not able to gain access so I send a message via email, I did get a reply saying that there is nothing wrong with the gate I said yes there is I was not able to get in she asked me what my unit number was I gave it to her also what my code was she replied I should never give out my code not to anybody and addressing me telling me that if anybody gets caught squadron including myself or anyone else that my unit would be canceled I replied as I would never do that I have my own home my own house and that I don't need to sleep or need a place to stay in a storage unit I felt very uncomfortable because it made me feel like she was putting false allegations into my mouth but it is what it is I told her that I would try back Monday because I needed to get something out of my storage I was not able to go there until yesterday Tuesday coming to find out when I opened my unit that someone has broken into it and ruined half of my belongings stole a whole bunch of stuff how they gained access was to a unit that was next to mine that was not locked apparently abandoned or left alone without being secured they broke through the wall what is pretty flimsy going through my belongings scattering them all over the place pulled some of them into the unit that was left empty next to me. When I asked for help all I got back was, call the police I replied I have ,I put in a police report I have a case number and I'm still waiting when I asked again what should I do who should I speak to what are the insurance to put a claim in no reply I have been waiting all day still nothing I'm still not giving up hope hopefully I will hear something I also told the lady that there are several other units that were broken into all their stuff is scattered outside of the units again no reply I have pictures of everything at this point I moved everything out, what was still left behind to at least to do my part and keep the unit clean. So be aware it is very close to Central and a lot of homeless people are looking for a place to stay and unfortunately also to steal belongings.

These are the worst storage units, all of our stuff got stolen and the manager won’t answer the phone.

I would highly recommend renting at El Campo Apartments! The apartment complex is clean ,with well kept grounds,quiet,gated,safe. Management is friendly,polite and very prompt in responding to any questions I had. My one bedroom,one bath is newly refurbished, very clean! If I could ,I would give El Campo Apartments a 10 star.
