Extra Space Storage - 1916 - Brooklyn - Flatlands Ave

Manager Stacy has a bad attitude and hopefully the $21/hr she makes is worth it. I asked her about the recent rate increase that was NEVER communicated to me but she insisted that it was communicated to me. She then explained that it was only sent to me via USPS MAIL. Really? What a joke. No email, no phone call, ONLY mail. She then basically blamed me for not getting the letter in the mail. This place purposefully withholds information about rate increases even thought lease says EMAIL communication. What a scam. Furthermore, Stacy is not fit for a management role, as she very clearly spoke to me in a sarcastic tone. Instead of her handling the situation professionally and with grace, she matched my attitude even though I had every right to be frustrated. They need to replace her with a manager that is honest, kind, and competent. Also, they have a bad mice infestation.

Absolutely the worst experience ever. Had my items stored for about a total of 2 and half years. First year no issues. Then sometime after that my unit became thoroughly infested by rats. There were huge droppings on my things and on the floor of the unit. Most things were damaged by urine, droppings and items being chewed through. There were also droppings coming from under the doors of other units in the area. I took pictures and informed the front desk and was told by two of the employees that it was an issue they had been dealing with. They recently found fish/meat in one of the units. They said I was paying for insurance and would be able to claim on it when I returned to clean out. They would take pictures as well. Unfortunately when I came to clean out the manager was present and I called him to come take a look at the unit. He immediately looked at my mini Keurig and said because I'd left an old k-cup in the machine I would be unable to file on the insurance. He said the infestation was caused by me leaving the empty k cup in the machine. He refused to give me the paperwork for the insurance and said there's nothing he can do. I ended up having to throw away 80% of my things due to damage and closed out my account that week. Extremely horrible service strongly do not recommend. Will be filing a complaint!!

Fantastic storage facility! The units are clean, secure, and easy to access, and LATASIA is incredibly friendly, helpful & very knowledgeable when it came to answering my questions. I wish I can give her a thousand stars + . The whole process from move-in to accessing my unit was smooth and stress-free. I felt confident that my belongings were safe, and the pricing is fair for the quality and service you get. I would definitely recommend this storage facility to anyone looking for a reliable and well-managed place to store their items. 1000 out of 5 :-)

All I can say is, this place is amazing. Great experience from the moment I walked in, I was greeted with kindness and professionalism. The staff were very knowledgeable, patient and, made sure I choose the right unit for my needs. I am very confident in storing my things here.

Came here today look at some storage rooms. Marshall was amazing. His energy alone made me want to choose this space. Its clean. Climate controlled and efficient. Definitely recommend.
