Prime Storage - Eastpointe

My things were auctioned off because I couldn't make a payment in time. I was laid off from my job and communicated this by leaving a message. Tried to get on a payment plan but couldn't follow through because I was trying to catch up on other bills that took precedence concerning me and my family's livelihood. All our memories and personal items are gone and I can't even get the buyers information. I have made multiple attempts to contact the facility through phone, email and chat regarding my belongings. I am not asking for all of my belongings back but those that have pertinent information and hold sentimental value. I am willing to pay compensation to recover the items but the facility has not responded or assisted in resolving this issue. I hold myself accountable. I am just asking to recover personal family keep sakes that hold very dear to myself and my ten year old daughter. I don't have the heart to tell her that her things are gone. I posted a video and these are some of the items that were in the storage unit. Please assist.

Don't rent from this place. If you get behind they will continue to tack on fees without telling you. I went to the location to pay my balance yesterday. I asked to speak to a live manager in person, I was refused. They make you talk to a rep through a Webcam screen. I been calling for weeks to speak to a manager about my account and have been told he would call. When I went there the Webcam lady kept lying saying he would be back but I can't give you a time. I said i will go to the location where he is at, she then comes back and says no one is coming in today. I need a manager because during the last 3 weeks that I have neen calling, they secretly put a $100 fee on my account after the last rep told me I had until February. I went to pay balance but im not paying the secret fee all because they want to sell my stuff. The Webcam rep refused to give me corporate number and email but I found it myself and called fir a hour straight, no answer. Im paying my balance to get my stuff and going somewhere that atleaet have live help and don't try to scam customers. They owners are called Prime Holdings and they don't answer either. RUN fast to any other storage. Even while I was there, a man needed help and he came to the lobby door from the inside, I couldn't let him in cause it was locked. They lock you from YOUR belongings after only 4 days late then start adding on fees so they can sell your stuff. Im in the process now of getting a lawyer if they don't remove that fee by tomorrow morning UPDATE. ....they responded to this review and said call directly so this can be resolved. I called and still nothing.Even said I can't give you the DM number and since its been over the 48hr time limit for him to respond, I will email the regional manager. This company is a complete joke. If you are considering renting here you better run like hell.

Great local storage facility! The manager (Jeff) is always great to talk to and is exceptionally accommodating. Out of the several storage unit facilities I've dealt with in the past, this has been by far the best experience across the board.

He went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and answered all my questions with a smile. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and easy to access. Jeff's customer service really made a difference and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend this location if you're looking for great service and a reliable storage solution!

Super clean facility. Large elevator and indoor loading area that is climate controlled. Carts are very helpful for loading and unloading. Staff is courteous, professional and helpful. This is by far my best experience with a storage facility.
