Atlantic Self Storage - Ray Rd

I’ve been a customer of Atlantic Self Storage for several years and currently rent units at two different locations. I’m very disappointed with how long-term customers are treated for a very long time now. My rent has increased multiple times, including shortly after being offered a “free month,” which felt misleading. After moving my belongings in, my rate was increased just six months later. After years of loyalty, I expected more transparency and appreciation—not repeated price hikes that make it difficult to remain a customer. I truly wanted to stay with Atlantic Self Storage for many more years, but the ongoing lack of fairness and consideration has pushed me to start looking elsewhere. It’s frustrating to leave after such a long history, but I have not felt valued as a customer for quite some time.

The front door has been broken and wide open for 4 months. I inquired to see if and when it would be fixed. My response to my concern was an email saying they could no longer do business with me unless they raised my rate $70 a month from $230 a month to $300. Anyone can walk in off the street for the last 4 months and still to this day and break into any storage unit of their chosing. It works out because I moved to the new public storage facility down the street for a cheaper rate. They finally called me back to discuss the situation but it after I put in my vacate notice. Pretty expensive for unsecured storage.

The facility is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is extremely easy to use this facility. Ample carts are provided and there are two elevators. I was told price increases were modest and occurred no more often than once a year, which helped me decide to rent at Atlantic Self Storage. The price went up by 40% eight months after I rented the unit. After contacting the facility about the rate hike my rate was reduced for a six-month period. I recommend Atlantic Storage over other storage facilities.

We have had our unit at this location for approximately 5 years. This storage unit facility is very clean and the staff is very responsive to any email communication we have had back and forth. The parking is very limited, but works for the time we have had to go. Other than that, we have been happy with what we have and will continue to use this facility.
