My 1st public storage experience
Chad was awesome in helping me get set up at Lakewood, Colorado units. He was awesome!!!! He was very helpful, gave info and I bought a mattress pad all within an hour!!

Meeting and working with Chad, the manager at the Public Storage where we rented a unit, was such a pleasant and positive experience. In this day and age of disappearing positive customer service, it was so wonderful to have such a great experience at Public Storage.

Ok experience
Decent treatment. Wasn't sure what to expect to be honest. Reasonable price for the unit and good location for me is why I chose this storage. I was a little turned off by the "processing fee". I've worked in property management and I know "processing" is just a part of the job for getting customers, nothing out of the ordinary or unusual. So there should not be any extra charge for doing that. Also surprised and turned off by having to pay for using your special lock, not being able to use a lock I already had; can't use yours anywhere else, can't get money back for it when I'm done using the storage. My suggestion is lower your processing fee and either do not charge for your specialized lock or let people get a refund for turning in the lock. Thank you.

Watch for unadvertised costs
The guy at the office was nice. The facility was fine. The price was good and the hours were great. The thing that really disappointed me was that the advertised price online wasn't the actual cost. There was a lock fee, a 1 time sign up fee and mandatory insurance (which I can cancel nownthat i know my renter's insurance covers my things in storage). It felt shady that all the costs were not listed up front.
